Fashion Photography

1. The changes that were made to the model...
  • Make-up
  • Hair
  • Neck
  • Showders
  • Lips
  • Eyes (larger)
  • color tone
  • Nose
(opinion) They basically just made her a make over but in technology.

2. Body Evolution- Before & After: the changes...

  • skin tone
  • Hair
  • made her face more centered
  • Bigger eyes
  • bigger lips
  • skinier
  • longer legs
  • longer neck
  • smaller feet
The photographer just basically changed her whole body. (opinion) She looks a a barbie doll.

3. Crazy Photoshop Skills: the changes...

Her her body,
  • Legs
  • Thighs
  • Hips
  • Arms
  • Hands
  • breaths
  • Head shape
  • Added more hair
The Photographer changed this lady in a dramatic was. Literally her whole body from being a + size lady to what looks like a size 0. (opinion) Clearly its amazing and also crazy what technology can do.

4. Honestly NO. I don't think its ethically acceptable to change these people really dramatically. The reason for that is b/c these ladies look a certain way b/c they were born that way. I don't think they should change in any way, especially if there a type of celebrity b/c there a younger people/ children that look up to them. I think its better to look like a decent human being instead of a barbie doll.

5. I think when it come to changing the person whole body shape is a big problem, more like thats crossing the line.

6. I think that when it comes to changing a persons skin tone is okay or the brightness a little bit. But changing the persons body shape and changing there actual body parts like making there nose more centered and making there eyes bigger is too much.

7. Well the difference between the fashion photography and regular journalism photography is that i think fashion gets more criticized b/c of how they look. That types of photography has to do w/ more emotions. Now in journalism photography I think it has more a layer back audience. They still also get criticized but to an extent.

8. Well i do think everybody has used photography rather if they liked it or didn't. It just shows they different types of differences.

9. I think your showing us these types of videos b/c, first of all photoshop exist and it plays different parts in the real world. It shows dramatic experiences to actual people. It shows that thats the world we live in. Theres really nothing we can do.

10. I think the reason why they're not about guys is b/c even though guys get judged in certain ways ,the majority are girls. This question kind of take me back to my english class b/c my my classmates and i were reading a story called "girl", even though it had nothing to do w/ photoshop or photography at all it was taking mainly about "girls". And how society puts these ladies/ woman/ girls in a category and makes them think more about themselves, if there whatever there doing is absolutely wrong. And i believe that this how photoshop played a role b/c some females would ask themselves " how are they so pretty?".... well photoshop.  There probably nothing real and thats just sad. Now in conclusion I think that the world expects more out of the female sex instead of the male. so kind of thing thats kind of sexist in my opinion.

Blog #3- My Favorite Cover:
Boston, May, We Will Finish the Race
Photographed by Mitch Feinberg
"After the marathon bombings, we wanted to be the magazine the city deserved and needed at that moment. The marathon was just four days before our ship date, but we scratched our cover and main feature and threw ourselves into honoring the runners and victims as best we could. The cover image is made up completely of shoes that ran this year’s marathon, and we were proud to tell their stories. We were even more proud that the sale of our May cover posters raised over $120,000 for the One Fund."

The reason why i chose this pic. this photo shows a very strong message of what happened and shows and amazing art. The way It has most and probably all the runners that were part of the whole marathon bombing. It shows all the different color shows of each person . The way they shaped the shoes as a heart and, the lighting of the the whole photo is perfect and i think the way the photographer accomplishes that by, sorting them from colors.(warm, cool and like neutral). The way people are communicated is clearly by people who and maybe weren't part of the bombing but there way a marathon. In my opinion the photo shows the love and support just by reading the title & not even reading the description.

Blog #4- Magazine Part 2:

There are different types of cover types, for example theres image base, illustration base, typed base and concept base. Each of these have there own special attributes, rather its how the describe are shoot a certain thing. Image based covers are more common, they usually consist of a pic of one person thats basically looking right at the camera, but maybe sometimes they would be looking in a different angle but it's still one person. Illustration base covers have to do with covers that look or are drawings, the difference is also that usually they rely in a different type of company. Typed based covers are usually rare, the typing of those types of magazine covers have a way to express what the theme is in general. It could be bold, cursive, bright, goofy, it just depends. Now, concept base covers has to do with rather funny, shocking and also a strong message. The other different think is that concept base cover has to do with businesses, so basically they are pretty informal.

Portraits & Self-Portraits.

Tips of Portraits & Self-Portraits:
  1. Looking off camera, have your subject focus their attention on something unseen & outside the field of view of your camera.

  2. Get close to the object that your taking a picture of,  if you want it to be the center of attention.

Environmental Portraits:

One of the portraits that i pick for the environmental side looks
like the cranberry guy from the cranberry commercial, but
the reason why i picked this one is b/c in my opinion it shows what
the man does and what it looks like to me, and just being
outside.
Now this other pic, the reason why i chose it
is b/c as you can see the elderly person doing what he does. Thats the reason why i chose these 2 pic. for environmental, not only cause of google but b/c it give you a clear pic of what they're doing.

Photography Self-Portrait:

The reason why i chose this pic is b/c i like
how the papers or mail is everywhere.
This i kind of how i want my portrait
but less... i guess.. photoshopped?

Now the reason why I chose this pic is b/c in my opinion it shows
a lot  of character, idk just something about it. Its like a 2 sided
feeling.

Casual Portraits:

I chose this pic. for the portrait side b/c its pretty basic and "casual"
in my opinion. It shows the person just sitting w/ water and books.
Very simple that kind of describes the person a little bit.
The reason why i chose this other pc for
this category is b/c its simply
shows what looks like a mother and her
son having a good time, that is very
simple.

Ideas/ Plans:

I think I have a pretty good idea of what and how i want my portrait and self-portrait to be. For my self-portrait i kind of want to have me either sitting on the couch, my bed, or by a table w/ my books, txt books and homework. Being dressed up w/ my Walgreens uniform (my job) and my phone and laptops, kind of looking stressed out. The reason why i want all of these types of things included in my portrait is cause I do a good amt. of stuff at school and work
w/ different responsibilities and priorities to do. The reason why I
want to look stressed out is cause i sometimes get stressed like
everyone else especially when i don't finish what i have to do. I just want
to be able to do this self-portrait and let people know who
am and what i do a a kind of day to day basis.

Now for the normal portrait I'm hoping to see if i am able to catch either
one of my family members or a random person down town
just being themselves. Just being able to get a good purpose of what the person
is doing at that moment.

American Soldier.

   A. The most powerful image that I saw and thought was very powerful, was w/ the caption "A Hug Farewell" b/c it shows the emotion and seriousness in the image. How his 2 friends say that last good byes and his parents in the background.
   B. These images work together to create this whole story of him basically enrolling to be part of the whole U.S. military to the train to the 2 different parties he was in w/ his friends and family and just him and his friends. Also from more training and him returning home and proposing to his 1st girlfriend and the live of being in iraq, to more of his personal life and later proposing to his 2nd girlfriend.
    C. The way the captions enhance the photos is basically by titling each one of them and explaining whats going on at that moment for example when he was saying bye to his friends and family, and what he's feeling at that moment.
    D. The summary of Ian Fisher is pretty simple, just by reading the captions and looking at the pictures. By simple his starting at the recruit office and him getting prepared to be trained to going to the doctor and getting checked out and doing more training and finally getting his weapons and finally saying goodbye to his friends and family since he was getting sent to Iraq and proposing to his first wife then later divorcing and later remarrying.

  1. the amount of sentences vary to the story behind the story of the pic they go to 1 sentence up to 7 sentences.
  2. The first sentence of most of the pics, say whats exactly happening or Ian is doing in the pic.
  3. The second sentence is mainly talking of what they have learned or what they as in everyone is doing.
  4. The third sentence just give a type of inference.
  5. Yes.
  6. Yes. Some have 4.
