Self Portrait vs the Selfie

What is a selfie?
What is a self portrait?
What style do you prefer?
Is one more valuable/ important than the other? Why?

A selfie is usually a picture of yourself taken w/ either a smartphone or computer, or usually something that ends up being posted on social media. The majority of this generation takes selfies of themselves or w/ a group of people or family. Selfies are a type of self portrait as well but has less to do w/ the artistic perspective.

Self portraits, even thought they seem to be kind of similar to selfies they aren't taken by smartphones of computers. they can but differently. Sometimes they can even be painted in this example. They both have there pro & cons.

I really can choose either one. Only because i kind of find them similar. It just depends the purpose of why you're doing it. Now when it comes to which one is more valuable or important. I actually think that a self portrait is more in important than the selfie. Only b/c i think that self portraits have to be more difficult. B/c they can be painted .

Phobia Project

A. Phobia is a type of fear a person has. It can either be scary or cringey.

B.

  • Coulrophobia: A fear of clowns.
  • Decidophobia: The fear of making decisions.
  • Emetophobia: Fear of vomiting.
  • Hadephobia: Fear of Hell.
  • Lophobia: Fear of poison.
C. I have different idea for the phobia photo shoot. First I'm going to get something, Rather it's a person or a weird object, they both have to be cringey.  The pic. just has to be weird or unpleasant to look at. The object is for sure going to include something from the list of phobias. They're going to depend rather how they look on both horizontal and vertical. I am also thinking on having the rule of thirds and point of view (maybe). The lighting and clothing is just gonna vary w/ the objects i pick. if its an unpleasant pic. thing it might have a darker mood or maybe a good mood w/ the lighting ect.

D. A photographic technique would be Having the good lighting and getting the actual pic. of picture. basically getting the whole aspect of it on why it is what it is.
